Public Comment Notice

As part of the accountability clock process, the State Board of Education is seeking public comment for the upcoming accountability hearings with the State Board of Education for Bill Metz Elementary in Monte Vista School District and Abraham Lincoln High School and Manual High School in Denver Public Schools. For more information on the accountability clock, see CDE’s fact sheet.

Each school is appearing before the board on February 12-13 for an accountability clock hearing after five years of Priority Improvement or Turnaround status. Public comment is part of the information the board will consider as they determine next steps.

Public comment notices in English and Spanish are attached and can be found at the top of the state board website. Public comment will be accepted through noon on Monday, February 3rd. The earlier that feedback is received, the better staff are able to review and incorporate the feedback into the hearing and board materials.
