DESCRIPTION:The Colorado Association for Bilingual Education is proud to host our annual professional development conference. This year’s conference is “Leading for Equity & Excellence Through Bilingual Education.” Like many events\, we are planning to hold this year’s conference in a completely virtual format. We will have live presentations in a similar format to our in-person conferences over two days. We are excited to offer a more flexible format with this virtual conference. All presentations will be recorded and available for viewing by conference registrants for 90 days after the conference ends! She studies the sociolinguistic processes of linguistic acquisition by elective and circumstantial learners. She is one of the most eminent experts on Spanish-English bilingualism in the United States.                                 \n			Maria del Carmen Salazar\, PhD		\n                                            \n                                                     Maria del Carmen Salazar\, Ph.D\n                                                    Professor\, Teaching & Learning SciencesUniversity of Denver\n                                    Dr. María del Carmen Salazar is a Professor of Teaching and Learning Sciences in the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver. Salazar has authored 33 publications on humanizing pedagogies\, equitable teaching\, and college access and success for Latinx youth.
